Since it was first published in 1978, Morton Kelsey's book has helped tens of thousands of readers come to a new understanding of the meaning of dreams. It has long been accepted that dreams represent doors to unconscious parts of the human psyche. Kelsey, following the lead of Swiss psychologist Carl Jung, maintains that these unconscious places can be avenues for divine inspiration. The unconscious is where God first touches us, and a careful listening to our dreams is a way to listen to God. The purpose of this book, says Kelsey, is to show accurately and simply how the ordinary person can begin to understand the incredibly varied and fascinating 'shows' that take place within our psyches each night. Morton Kelsey is a teacher, psychologist and priest who presently lives in California. He has written more than twenty books including Encounter with God, Caring, Resurrection and The Other Side of Silence.
